You should see this (Except with your username instead of mine of course). Open Terminal type cd (if you can't tell there is a space after cd) and drag the Starbound folder to the Terminal screen then hit enter. Open Finder hit CMD + Shift + G and type ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common. There is actually a really easy fix though :). Starbound can't comprehend these so it crashes on start. It is an issue with OSX putting in DS_Files when you open documents. I came up with a really easy guide to follow also: Once I reinstalled 2 times and checked the forums and crash reports, I saw a thread where someone said how to fix it. After updating to 10.9 I installed Starbound checked the files and then crashed. I for one was a suspect of this on the first day. After Opening my Starbound Files it crashes Just update from the App Store since the new Mavericks update is free! If you have any issues, Google is your best friend :)ġ. If you are using Mac OSX 10.7.5 or lower, you will most likely not be able to play Starbound since it supports 10.8+.
